Accounting Manager

 Responsible for the overall management of the Accounting Department.

 Oversees Accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, general ledgers, budget, reconciliations, internal controls, files, processes and procedures. Assures accounting department functions are carried out accurately and efficiently. Oversees cost reporting process for Medicare and Medicaid. Oversees financial statements and variance analysis. Prepares budgets. Oversees operating cash and transfer money. Hires, trains, evaluate, develops and supervises accounting staff. Liaison with auditors on annual audit, filing of 990, 990T &1120 for NCE. Liaison with bankers on accounting reports and taxes. Oversees reports for department managers as requested. Assists on projects as necessary—could include new system implementation, strategic planning research and analysis, etc. Cross-train, support, backfill and collaborate with Accounting Office Manager. Other duties as needed.

Director, Strategic Planning & Operations

Sisters of the Holy Names, US-Ontario Province seeks a collaborative, visionary leader for the Convent of the Holy Names in Spokane, Washington. The Convent provides a continuum of care for approximately 60 retired Catholic women religious.

This position reports to the Provincial Team Liaison and is the lead position with responsibility for providing strategic guidance and direction to convent operations. Additionally, it is responsible for developing/fostering cooperative partnerships with other local religious communities and community resources in exploring and implementing best practices for elder care/healthcare delivery, and increasing the effectiveness of Convent services to Sisters.

Requires BS or MS degree in health care administration or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of significant management experience in community-based health care delivery setting, life care community or elder services environment. Experience with change management process and ability to lead change positively and enthusiastically; ability to provide strategic leadership and management in a health care setting; knowledge of/sensitivity to needs of the aging and women’s health concerns. Experience working with faith-based and/or nonprofit organization is a plus.

Afternoon DD Case Manager

Location & Hours: Marysville, Full-time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Maintains quality client services by enforcing standards and policies; implementing

program plans; identifying issues to be addressed with Site Manager; recommending changes and options; and coordinating staff activities related to service delivery.

  • Schedules and publicizes GAP Program services (i.e. specialized developmental disabilities programming).
  • Determine clients’ situation and needs by establishing rapport with clients and caregivers; establishing service goals and plans; coordinating interdisciplinary assessments with team members
  • Addresses client personal care needs by assisting clients in restroom, with ambulation, meals and hygiene as needed
  • Maintains continuity of care by communicating changes in client condition to team members; informing caregivers and physicians; documenting changes and service plan events; monitoring progress toward service goals and adjusting services as required
  • Creates a safe, therapeutic group environment by establishing group rules; monitoring and encouraging appropriate participation; noting and evaluating group effectiveness; recommending and implementing changes.
  • Plans group course by working with team to develop activity schedules that address clients’ educational, emotional, physical and spiritual needs and abilities.
  • Establishes a compassionate and respectful environment by practicing good communication skills; keeping client information confidential; conducting self in professional manner.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection control protocols; addressing potential safety and health hazards; following emergency policy and procedures; and fulfilling education and certification requirements.
  • Maintains required documentation to meet WAC guidelines and/or EHNW policy
  • Works with Site Manager to ensure performance of staff by providing guidance, giving feedback as necessary and monitoring documentation.
  • Ensures performance of volunteer staff by providing direction and giving regular feedback, coaching & counseling as needed.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Maintains GAP Program census by internally marketing the GAP program to each ElderHealth site; assists Outreach Coordinator with external outreach projects.
  • Addresses general GAP transportation issues by following up with Transportation Coordinators and providers.
  • Coordinates GAP program site visits & intakes.
  • Assists clients with ambulation, transfers, and personal care needs.
  • Assists the Site Manager with staff development by participating in the selection, orientation, training and appraising of employees.

Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one or more years experience working with adults in a health care or social service setting, or high school diploma and two or more years experience in related field.
  • Experience in working with DD clients.
  • Must be certified in CPR and attend the HIV/AIDS information course

Physical Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and support clients’ mobility.
